FBI probes claims of guest worker abuse
NEW ORLEANS – The FBI confirmed yesterday it was investigating allegations that a Louisiana farmer fired shotgun blasts over Mexican guest workers' heads, exposed them to pesticides and paid them less than minimum wage.
The abuse allegations were outlined in a federal lawsuit filed yesterday by immigrant rights organizations on the workers' behalf.

There's always been as issue of abuse with guest workers. Complain and you go home. There was awful abuse done to foreign, temporary guest workers even by Disney in Florida. It was a few years ago, but they were right up there with ag businesses. Most were young people, usually college age and it was work for the summer on cruise ships or whatever. Here they were all excited about comming to America and they spent their time either totally working or in sparce housing and not allowed to leave. Guess it's a way to guarentee they don't take off on you since you are responsible for them....but at the same time not very nice.
