Texas Agents Find $7.2 Million in Cocaine Behind RV Wall

Kingsville, Texas — U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Sarita checkpoint on U.S. Highway 77 seized more than 200 pounds of cocaine Monday.

The seizure occurred during an inspection as a recreational vehicle attempted to travel through the Sarita checkpoint. A K-9 team operating in conjunction with the primary agent alerted to the presence of illicit contraband. A secondary inspection revealed the contraband concealed within a wall of the vehicle.

The seized cocaine is valued at more than $7.2 million.

The conveyance, narcotics and one arrested individual were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration for investigation.
