KSDK -- Two men were arrested in Phelps County on drug and immigration charges.

U.S. Attorney Catherine Hanaway's office announced Raudel Galvez, of Springdale, Arkansas and Israel Guadalupe Valez-Parra, an illegal alien from Mexico, appeared in court Wednesday.

A federal grand jury indicted Galvez, 38, on one count of intent to distribute more than 100 kilograms of marijuana. If convicted, Galvez could face five to 40 years in prison.

Valdez-Parra, 29, was indicted for reentering the U.S. after he had been previously departed, according to Hanaway's office. The charge carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.
