Illegal Immigration Supporters Have More In Common With Pharisees Than Jesus

Catholic Bishop Thomas Tobin has asked for a blanket moratorium on immigration raids - an action that, according to one politician, has the Bishop and "a whole lot of other people confusing treason for virtue".

The Bishop's request followed a recent Western North Carolina raid on Mills Manufacturing in Asheville, North Carolina and the arrest of 57 illegal aliens at the site. The raid was followed by at least two planned activities in support of those arrested. Members of the faith based community assisted in the organization and execution of both events.

As a City Councilman, NC 11th District Congressional Candidate Carl Mumpower has a reputation for standing alone in a fight against his city's liberal policies on illegal immigration. Mumpower is specific in his criticism of what he sees as the "pleasers and appeasers" of illegal immigration. According to Mumpower, those who enable illegal immigration are found at all levels of government and within the faith based community, non-profit agencies, and a host of area employers "supporting the foreign occupation of America behind a mask of righteousness."

"I am fascinated with how people, like Bishop Tobin and even my own minister, use Jesus to justify ignoring the law and the accountabilities that come with personal choices," notes Mumpower. "Asheville's daily paper has done everything but give out T-shirts to support the portrayal of those arrested in the ICE raid and their employers as victims."

"There is a difference in someone suffering the consequences of their actions and an innocent victim suffering the actions of others," said Mumpower. Using the imported poor to plump an enabler's conscience or an employer's pocket book is more about the hypocrisy of the Pharisees than the love of Jesus. Where are the voices of courage within the faith based community willing to fight this unprecedented and spiritually bankrupt occupation of America?"

The Bishop will have to go before God one day and explain the deception he perpetrated on the issue of illegal immigration using the Lord's name and word in vain! Blasphemy!

I wonder which commandment Bishop Tobin uses that makes it acceptable for illegals to lie , steal, cheat and deceive the laws of another country? The Bishop must use a different bible than other Christians….

Come on, it’s obvious that the Catholic Church stands to make a lot of money from the illegals population…if not now in the near future. It seems the Catholic Church wants to create another “Holy Roman Empireâ€
