    HURON COUNTY — After just 80 days in office, the Huron County Sheriff is already wrestling with the issue of illegal immigrants in Huron County.

    Sheriff Kelly J. Hanson said the problem isn’t just that there are illegal immigrants living and working here.

    By giving illegal aliens a get out of jail free card, law enforcement is violating the civil rights of every US citizen and legal immigrant who are caught for the same crimes.

    If you cannot verify their ID, stick them in jail until ICE or CBP can verify their ID and take them.
