Border crosser starts fire that forces evacuations near Three Points

An illegal border crosser started a brush fire near Three Points, south of Arizona 86, that forced some evacuations of homes, officials said Sunday.
The evacuation of area residents was ordered by officials of the Three Points Fire District as a precaution, said Judy Wood, spokeswoman for the Arizona State Forestry Division.
About 10 homes in the area of Sierrita Mountain Road were evacuated Sunday afternoon, said Deputy Dawn Barkman, a sheriff's spokeswoman. No structures were damaged and there were no injuries.
The fire was about 50 percent contained at about 160 acres.
Initially there were three structures that were threatened by the fire, however those structures are no longer in danger, Wood said.
Barkman said the border crosser was turned over to Border Patrol agents. No charges were expected to be filed because no structures were damaged and the fire was not set intentionally.
The border crosser started a signal fire to seek help because the crosser was lost, Barkman said.

Comments on the source article indicating it could have been just a Citizens starting the fire so what is the big deal about an ILLEGAL starting the fire.

"Yes, Citizens do commit crimes but resources that could be utilized fighting these crimes or as in this case fighting fire are diverted in an attempt to protect U.S. Citizens from the never ending crimes of the ILLEGALS and their Anchors. If he were not in the U.S. ILLEGALLY then there would not had been the fire that cost taxpayers money and endangered property and life."
