Romney Endorses Immigration Hardliner
Romney Endorses Immigration Hardliner, Drawing Criticism from Obama Camp
Published September 09, 2012
Fox News Latino
Immigration is once again fueling a clash between the presidential candidates, as the Barack Obama campaign takes GOP candidate Mitt Romney to task for his endorsement of a Midwestern immigration hardliner.
Romney endorsed Rep. Steve King (R-IA) at a campaign event on Friday.
"This man needs to be your congressman again," Romney said of King on Friday. "I want him as my partner in Washington D.C."
The Obama campaign took Romney to task over the endorsement, accusing him of not standing up to "the most strident voices in his party."
King is a conservative congressman from Iowa who has taken tough anti-immigration stances, including suggesting an electrified fence along the Mexican border.
The Democratic National Committee followed with a Web video Saturday that concluded in bold letters: "Mitt Romney & Steve King. Partners in extremism."
Romney spokesman Kevin Madden brushed aside the criticism. King "has been supportive of the governor and he's come to a number of our events in the past," Madden told reporters.
The Iowa Republican also drew attention this year for comparing immigration policy to picking the best dogs in a litter. The comment was viewed by some as denigrating toward immigrants, though King defended the remarks in an interview with Fox News Latino.
"I've long used these examples," King told Fox News Latino in June. "We’ve skimmed the cream of the crop off every civilization on the planet."
King, who sits on the House Subcommittee on Immigration, also favors making English the official language of the United States.
The Obama camp again accused Romney of "associating with some of the most strident and divisive voices in the Republican Party," after a Romney aide told reporters that the GOP nominee "spoke briefly" with conservative televangelist Pat Robertson at a campaign event on Saturday.

Wanting to see immigration laws enforced is now considered extreme?
Just for arguments sake I'd ask what enforcement will the dems put in place after a second blanket amnesty is given? Will a new amnesty become one in perpetuity, just open borders for any and all from here on out?Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Supporting King is another good indicator of where Romney stands on the issue of illegal immigration. This can only be seen as a good thing for us.

And then you get this little doozy:
Romney Camp Distances Itself from Congressman's Hardline Immigration Views

And please don't attempt to somehow spin this as "Oh, but it's just one guy in his campaign! Romney is his own man!". Please face the facts and understand that this guy has no real intention of dealing with the issue the way we want it dealt with. This country is in dire trouble and the last thing we need is people continuing to fall for the BS coming out of these liars.

I honestly believe we have a better chance of getting more done on the issue with Romney than we have had from any other President in decades. I'd judge my ability to 'read between the lines' with anyone elses. Based on what Romney did in a liberal state and his actions to-date, I'd say everything out of his mouth on the issue is not, as you put it, BS.

which reminds me "
Congressman Steve King "Obama has crossed the line and I will be filing suit soon" King: President Obama Continues to Ignore the Line
last word on the issue, from Rep. Steve King, was that the suit was going to be filed BEFORE Labor Day. Questioned him on this, on his facebook page, twice, but no response. my guess is that Republicans, namely Romney, do not want him to rock the Latino vote boat.
