TUCSON, AZ (AP) - U.S. Border Patrol agents say they seized more than 2,800 pounds of marijuana from an abandoned vehicle in the desert near Casa Grande.

While responding to a report of possible illegal activity Monday, agents discovered off-road tire tracks in the desert.

A pickup truck covered in camouflage was later found and agents discovered numerous bundles of marijuana with a street value estimated at more than $2.2 million.

Border Patrol officials say the marijuana was seized and the vehicle was towed to the Casa Grande Station for further processing.
