TX: Governor Disagrees With Congress On Border Fence

Governor Disagrees With Congress On Border Fence
Isaac Paul Vasquez - KFOX Weekend Producer

    UPDATED: 8:15 pm MDT April 4, 2008

EL PASO, Texas -- As Congress debates funding for a "virtual" fence along the U.S.-Mexican border, the governor of Texas wants "real" people guarding it.

Gov. Rick Perry said boots on the ground is how you stop the flood of illegals.

In the areas where patrols have been beefed up, the flow of illegal immigration is down, as is overall crime.

Texas is one of four states that share a border with Mexico, and the governor of the Lone Star State said Washington is out of touch.

“It's 1,300 miles from here to Washington, D.C., they have no idea what life is like along the border, they haven't a clue about how you secure a 1,200 mile border, they think you build a wall, wipe your hands of it, gosh we done our job, let's go on to something else,“ said Perry.

Perry said his state will spend $110 million dollars over the next two years adding more patrols to local police.

Pecos Perry performed the same act last year before the election, makes you wonder what's up now! Maybe he is attempting to fight off Kamnesty Bailey.

Gov. Perry, Kay Baily Hutchenson and President Bush are equally responcible for every death, every rape, every Armed Robbery every injury to an American citizen due to an Illegal Alien Drunk Driver... every crime committed by Illegal Aliens and gang Members

many, many other politicians as well need to be on trial for the systematic killing of Americans and this country

Treason and Sedition is the phrase of the day

You know, at least some border state governors are doing something even if sometimes it's all talk and not much action.

My governor is deaf to the issue, in denial and just wants to be liked by everyone. Think he just wants the issue to magically go away.
