Homeland Security targets foreign-born criminals for deportation

The federal government plans to deport more than 200,000 convicted criminals this year as part of ongoing efforts to speed up the removal of illegal immigrants and foreign-born criminals who are incarcerated in the USA.

The head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement tells The New York Times that her agency is working with local officials to ensure that these prisoners are sent out of the country upon their release from jail or prison.

Julie Myers, the assistant secretary of Homeland Security, says they charged 164,000 prisoners with immigration violations last year.

sounds good... but Bush pulled this crap as well right before they pushed for Amnesty ... they are just trying to give themselves credibility before an Amnesty push

Who is going to keep these people out of The United States? How are we going to know these people and their illegal families are deported?

Or is this the plan let these criminals out and follow them to the nest in America?
