LVPD On Monday, Las Vegas police arrested Juan Rivera, 19, and charged him with the murder of 14-year-old Diana Soto. He was also charged with sexual assault and robbery.

Soto’s body was found by a passerby early Sunday morning.

According to police, her body had apparently been dumped at the scene, and showed signs of severe injury to the head and neck area.

Rivera speaks only Spanish, and required an interpreter during interviews with detectives.

Rivera claims that the girl asked him for a ride to a friend’s house, and she attacked him after the two argued. Apparently, he was dating the teenager’s older sister.

Police say that Rivera admitted to strangling the girl, but denies raping her. A DNA test has been performed and the results are pending.

Rivera is being held in the Clark County Detention Center without bail.

On Thursday, I contacted (by email) the Las Vegas Police Department’s public information officer, and inquired into Rivera’s immigration status. Several hours later, I received a response, asking for my phone number…I never received a phone call.

However, more than 24 hours after my request, LVPD public information officer Barbara Morgan responded with another email, refusing to disclose Rivera’s status.

Officer Morgan suggested I contact ICE for the information.

Why?

Why would a local police department concern themselves with protecting the immigration status of someone, whom they claim admitted to murder?

In recent years, Las Vegas has been overrun with illegal aliens, and as a result, is experiencing a crime wave. Illegal alien gangs are now terrorizing the city and its residents.

Of course, Las Vegas exists because of casinos, hotels, and restaurants, all of which are notorious for their extensive hiring of illegal aliens.

The city’s leadership has long looked the other way, and though unofficially, has welcomed illegal aliens and the dirt cheap labor they provide. It is undoubtedly embarrassing when one of these “willing workersâ€

Why would a local police department concern themselves with protecting the immigration status of someone, whom they claim admitted to murder?

Just like it is here in NYC...The MSM and government agencies conspire to keep Immigration Status unreported because if the high volume of crimes committed by IAs were actually reported to the public the uproar would be deafening!
