former illegal alien NY Assemblyman to grill Gillibrand
Latino Officials Will Grill Gillibrand Sunday

ALBANY—For Assemblyman Adriano Espaillat, the stances Senator Kirsten Gillibrand has taken cut personally: He was once an undocumented immigrant.
"I will not support anybody who has a position for English only," he said. "I'm an immigrant myself, and someone who came here with no papers. If I were to come here today, and that kind of position prevailed, I wouldn't have had the opportunity to become an assemblyman."
He will meet with Gillibrand this Sunday in Brooklyn. I asked what message Espaillat -- the first Dominican elected to sit in a state legislature -- will bring to the meeting. "I would like to see her conduct a listening tour in neighborhoods like the one that I represent, so that she can hear firsthand the stories of the folks that I represent."
Still, his stance was stronger than that of fellow Assemblyman Peter Rivera, who seemed more reticent to comment before the meeting.
Another Bronx assemblyman, Michael Benjamin, wrote to fume about the clip packet Rivera sent him and other colleagues.
"Enough of the liberal pile-on! Who made gun control, gay marriage, and illegal immigration core democratic party values -- much less litmus tests?" he wrote, before praising Clinton-style centrism. "I urge my downstate colleagues to stop trying to ‘Mau-Mau' Senator Gillibrand. She may be a crack shot."

The ultra-liberals of the state of NY are beginning to realize that they are losing the iron grip they have held for so long on our political landscape. They are probably making this all out effort to get Sen. Gillibrand to change her tune because they know if she doesn't and wins re-election with the vote of the 70 to 80% of the populace that defeated ex-Gov. Spitzers asinine idea to give driver licenses to illegal aliens they, themselves might just have to start representing the will of the people.
For Assemblyman Adriano Espaillat that might mean it would be he who must start to change his views. Don't these politicians understand that when they are elected, even from areas dominated by illegal aliens, they are supposed to represent the legal citizens. Though I strongly suspect that many of these illegal aliens have been committing voter fraud and he knows it.

Ratbstard, does Assemblyman Adriano Espaillat want to show Sen. Guilabrand his constituants up by Broadway and 137th St? He can show her all of the illegals from the Dominican Republic selling crack and powder cocaine to all of the buyers from Upstate NY out of the restaurants and bodagas.
