A female illegal immigrant jailed as a material witness since a fatal bombing behind the Luxor casino last May is asking a judge to set her free.

A lawyer for 28-year-old Caren Chali says she didn't commit any crime -- but that the government has been holding her for almost four months.

A judge has scheduled a Friday hearing and says he's inclined to let the woman provide a sworn deposition and go free.

A prosecutor says the state needs Chali's testimony -- whether
at trial or in a deposition.

Chali's boyfriend -- 24-year-old Willebaldo Dorantes Antonio -- died after the May 7 blast.

Accused bombmaker Porfirio Duarte-Herrera of Nicaragua and a co-defendant who has used names including Omar Rueda-Denvers and
Alexander Perez are facing felony charges including murder, attempted murder, bombmaking and bomb possession.
