AZ AG Terry Goddard (Dem.) on ID Theft.

HaHa! Right from the (Democrat) Horse's Mouth! Just so Arizonan's can be prepared for Identity Crimes. My pity on citizens of Arizona!

    Message from Attorney General Goddard

    Dear Friends,

Far too many Arizonans have been victims of identity theft. Repairing damage to your credit and reputation often requires considerable time and resources.

Most victims of identity theft don’t even know they are victims until it is too late. The Identity Theft Repair Kit provides useful tips to help you reduce the risk of identity theft or to minimize the damage if the worst happens and someone has already stolen your identity.

The recent string of high-profile data security breaches involving loss, thefts or misuse of millions of customer files is a serious problem for businesses, lawmakers and the public. Government and businesses are taking steps to better protect their databases. It is one thing to prevent someone from rummaging through your mail or your trash looking for credit card receipts and statements to steal. But, it is more difficult to protect yourself when electronic databases are involved.

I am working to fight identity theft through tougher law enforcement, tighter laws, more consumer education and cooperation with banks and businesses to better safeguard your personal information.

Identity theft is a crime of convenience. Together we can make it inconvenient for identity thieves to operate in Arizona.

Terry Goddard, right at the head of the list of AZ public servants against SB1070 having the gall to talk to anyone in this state about identity theft

If he's so freaking concerned about it where is his assistance in helping someone like my husband who had his identity stolen by an illegal alien Mexican while he was off fighting for this country in the Persian Gulf?

Where is Goddard's help in clearing this up so that he can collect his disability and veteran's benefits.....denied repeatedly because he is supposedly working and living large in California? Where is his help when my husband is constantly being threatened with arrest for unemployment fraud and warrants for unpaid traffic fines? Where's his help when my husband's driver's license has been revoked because of violations committed by the thief? His credit destroyed? His name not being able to appear on anything we own because we could be sued into oblivion and stripped of what little we do have left to satisfy liens and judgments against this criminal?

It's been seven years Goddard.....SEVEN YEARS trying to resolve this mess which has had seven years to get even worse because illegal alien sympathizers in this state like you don't want to hear it so take all of your "help" and shove it because it's all for show.

But since Godard has already stepped into it halfway by issuing an OFFICIAL STATEMENT warning Arizonans to protect themselves, you need to put more heat on him to get him to FULLY ENDORSE SB 1979, no matter what the White House says.

Do you see? He has already put out a DIRECTIVE to citizens dealing with an immigration-related crime. Keep pushing on him.

I put this out to show what a bunch of tomfoolery (and internal political contradictions) the Obama/Democrat vision is.

Sad to read what your experience has been on this issue especially sense you are dealing with it everyday.

I say you make him put his money where his mouth is and fax exactly what you wrote to evey news organization in Arizona and to his opponents.

Additionally, I would find out where he plans on giving speeches at and read your letter to him as a question and then put him on the spot by asking him would he like a copy of your letter to leave with.

I have found that the only time most politicians will give you any time of the day is during an election year when they are most eager to get your vote and most willing to step into the fight on your behalf.

Hopefully you have put a "Fraud Alert" on all three credit bureaus by now and can solicit the US Postal Inspection Service help if there has been any fraud used by the US Mail by this guy. I find that the US Postal Service is more willing to assist in these types of cases when you can show mail fraud as part of the crime. That can open up some more doors. I asked my Brother-in-law about this once since he is an FBI agent and he said the US Postal Inspection Service was a great way to open up a federal case as not to many local law enforcement agencies have the resorces or desire to investigate identity theft cases.

Here is some information on them.

    U.S. POSTAL INSPECTION SERVICE
The US Postal Inspection Service is the federal law enforcement arm of the US Postal Service. Postal Inspectors enforce more than 200 federal laws covering investigations of crimes that adversely affect or fraudulently use the U.S. Mail and postal system. The mission of the United States Postal Inspection Service is to protect the U.S. Postal Service, its employees and its customers from criminal attack, and protect the nation's mail system from criminal misuse. The Postal Inspection Service is the lead agency for the task force, providing office space, equipment, and support personnel to member agencies.
