Waynesboro man seeks to challenge Shuster

An environmental land use planner from Waynesboro is challenging Rep. Bill Shuster for the Republican nomination for the 9th Congressional District.

Travis Schooley, 33, is now working to collect the 1,000 signatures he needs for his name to be included on the primary ballot. It is his first run for elected office. If elected, he said he would be a voice in Washington, D.C., for restrained spending. He would also fight to solve illegal immigration through reforming economic policies.
