Thread: Microsoft China

The Microsoft China Portal has banned the terms "Democracy" and "Freedom" from its webite. Thank God we are living in the Globalized world! GRRRR The shape of things to come:

I thought I heard something recently that China was looking into developing their own operating system software to replace Microsoft Windows. So if that happens it will be another word banned from use.

I have an IT guy at work who used to travel a lot to China, Malaysia, and all over Asia and Europe--and he said there are street vendors in China selling pirated versions of expensive software everywhere you looked! I do videogames for a living and an American company has to pay something like $7,000 per employee on software like Windows XP, 3DS Max, Photoshop, ect just to get started, but places like China and Russia can have whole development houses where 90% of the software is pirated (free) and there's not a damn thing anybody can do about it. So once again, Americans lose.
