Rio Grande Valley Agents Discover Abandoned Four Year Old Amongst Large Group

HIDALGO, Texas – Border Patrol agents locate several illegal aliens, including a 4 year old traveling alone.

Early this morning, McAllen agents working in Hidalgo, Texas, encountered 36 illegal aliens after they were rafted across the Rio Grande.

The group consisted mostly of family units and unaccompanied children. During the initial encounter, agents attempted to identify everyone in the group and in the process discovered a four year old Salvadoran child who was traveling alone.

In her possession, agents discovered a hand written note with contact information for a parent in the United States. Additionally, the child had a phone number written on the inside of her coat. Agents contacted the father and he stated that the mother abandoned the child.

Medical staff evaluated the child and determined she did not need medical care at the time of the evaluation.

Border Patrol processed the child accordingly.

The public is encouraged to take a stand against crime in their communities and report suspicious activity at 800-863-9382.

Even with the spread of the COVID-19 virus, human smugglers continue to try these brazen attempts with zero regard for the lives they endanger nor to the health of the citizens of our great nation. The U.S. Border Patrol agents of the Rio Grande Valley Sector will continue to safeguard the nation and community against these criminal elements.

Hand them all over to their Embassy for immediate processing back home!

Find that 4 year old's parent and load them all on a plane back to El Salvador!

The mother abandoned the child...then hand it over to their Embassy and transfer it to authorities in El Salvador!

We are not the dumping ground or babysitter for the world.

Put these women on birth control or give them tubal ligations. This is disgusting!
