21 Illegals arrested in Bay County

Bay County Sheriff Frank Mckeithan announced the arrest of 21 illegal aliens Saturday.

The arrests stem from a week long investigation into the use of social security card numbers by illegal’s to gain employment.

After a traffic stop last Monday, investigators arrested 6 people in possession of stolen social security numbers used to get hired at Current Builders Construction in Panama City. The employees admitted to being in the United States illegally.

Last Thursday, investigators contacted Current Builders Construction who cooperated and provided more information on remaining employees at the construction site.

Then on Friday, investigators responded to the construction site behind Publix on Highway 77 to serve 14 state warrants.

When officers arrived, employees fled the area but 15 people were arrested. They face charges for criminal use of personal identification and hold for customs.
