Immigration bill sails though Ind. Senate

Despite fears it might open the door to racism and warnings that Indiana’s economy would suffer, the state Senate on Tuesday night passed a bill that would crack down on businesses that employ illegal immigrants.

The 37-11 vote came just before 10 p.m. after another lengthy debate. If the bill becomes law, the attorney general would have the authority to shut down a business for violations.

Senate Bill 335 moves on to the House of Representatives for consideration. House Speaker B. Patrick Bauer, D-South Bend, said after the vote that he had not read the bill and would decide later whether to give it a hearing.

Faced with charges that his bill is an affront to human rights, Sen. Mike Delph, R-Carmel, ripped into what he called the true targets of the legislation — not workers, but companies that make big profits by paying low wages, often in cash, and threaten illegal immigrants with deportation if they complain.

Sen. Tim Lanane, D-Anderson, questioned whether anyone could complain about
a business without first making a judgment based on race or heritage.

It looks like i am going to need to have a little talk with this moron. Since he now represents me.

It looks like I better start doing my homework. I think I am going to need pamphlets with lots of pictures of senator Lananes lovable illegals before his next election. This place is not that big and I am planning on going door to door explaining to people just who he favors. If anybody knows where I can get photos and stories of What the illegals are doing to the African Americans back in the war zone, I would appreciate it. It is my personal goal to see him never be elected again after that vote. Hopefully my representative is a whole lot better.

I read something here today that quoted someone saying that Americans don't care about immigration anymore. It made "blood shoot out of my eyes"!! When hundreds and hundreds of illegal immigration bills are being introduced and passed at the state level, I would say that Americans do very much care about illegal immigration.
