An El Paso man accused in a murder at a strip club is facing extradition back to west Texas after he was arrested by police south of the border.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials reported that Mexican authorities handed over 21-year-old Santiago De Leon at the Hidalgo-Reynosa International Bridge on New Year’s Day.

According to the El Paso Times, De Leon is accused of being one of three men who stormed a strip club just outside El Paso.

Investigators told the El Paso Times that 51-year-old Ralph Tucker charged at them with a bar stool but was fatally shot.

Authorities had arrested suspects 26-year-old Louis Michael Capano and 31-year-old Fidencio Valdez on unrelated charges in two separate cases.

They are both in custody under $1 million dollar bonds for capital murder.

The El Paso Times reports that both Capano and Valdez were identified as members of the Barrio Azteca gang.

Santiago is currently in the Hidalgo County Jail where he faces extradition for a capital murder charge in El Paso County.
