U.S. Border Patrol Weekly Blotter: (10/20/2010)

Border Patrol agents seized over 7,345 pounds of marijuana and 310 pounds of Ecstasy. Agents arrested 10 criminal aliens and 6 gang members. There were 10 rocking incidents.

El Centro Sector – A Border Patrol agent arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Calexico, California. During processing, the subject admitted to being a member of the Compton 70 street gang based in Compton, California. Records checks revealed the subject had an extensive criminal history and had been previously removed from the United States.

El Centro Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Calexico, California. During processing, the subject was identified as a member of the Alabama Street gang based in Canoga Park, California. Records checks revealed the subject had a prior felony conviction for possession of a controlled substance and had also been previously removed from the United States.

Marfa Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 464 pounds of marijuana and arrested a United States Citizen (USC) and six illegal aliens from Mexico near Sanderson, Texas. During the arrest, one of the subjects actively resisted and assaulted two agents. The subject was subdued and taken into custody after an unsuccessful attempt to abscond.

Miami Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested a national of Paraguay at the Greyhound bus station near Tampa, Florida. The subject was in possession of approximately one gallon of Gamma-Hydroxybutyric acid (GHB). GHB, described by the Drug Enforcement Administration as a “predatory drugâ€
