    Kevin Still for Texas Governor

I don't know much about this guy, but reading his infomation page from his website he sounds like a winner to me.

    Kevin Still for Texas Governor

I Kevin Still am running for the Office of Governor of The State of Texas.

I am a Father of 5 and Husband to the most wonderful woman alive, Dixie. I am a Veteran of the U.S. Army. I achieved the rank of Sergeant and served Honorably in the Gulf War. I have worked in the Surveying / Engineering world for the last 19 years. I enjoy Boating, Hunting and Fishing with my Family.

Why would I want to be Governor? Years of frustration from watching our Government spend recklessly and reap the rewards of our hard work. I am the average middle class taxpayer who is tired of my voice not being heard but yet expected to help pay for everything. Our Constitution is being trampled upon, twisted and manipulated while the Professional Politicians are expanding their range of power and profit. I believe it is going to take a real person to solve our real problems. We must return to the basics of our Founding Documents and restore our State and Country from the ground up. Our apples are falling too far from the tree.

I am not alone on the views of the sincere need for economic diversification, recruitment of out of state companies and the need for Government efficiency. I will authorize comprehensive audits of EVERY State agency to eliminate waste improve productivity and eliminate corruption. I will demand accountability for their actions and ensure responsibility to the People!

The Texas family needs fewer taxes! Property Taxes are rising exponentially with less returns and more financial strain for the property owners. The over taxation of our citizens is unjust and without proper representation. Our taxes are not being used properly. Our roads are in desperate need of repair and expansion. How is it that my property taxes have doubled in the last two years while property values have plummeted? The appeals are fruitless, they are ignored or denied. I will overhaul the Property Tax code to put money back where it goes, in the Tax Payer's pockets!

Our children are the future. The lack of education is a disaster for the future of our State. The Graduation rates in Texas are falling with each year. The funds for education need to be used for educating our children not to line the pockets of overpaid under qualified Administrators. Districts must be evaluated and restructured to serve our modern communities and student needs. The student/teacher ratios are too high. Administrative bodies must be cut and more teachers put in classrooms.

Currently, the Dallas Police Department does not have funds for D.N.A. tests on Cold Case Rape kits. Police are over worked and under staffed. Illegal Immigrants are being deported rather than prosecuted when they commit crimes. Our Peace officers cannot enforce Laws because of Political Correctness and fear of prosecution themselves! How ridiculous is this. I will ensure our Police and other First Responders are properly equipped, staffed and supported so they can enforce our Laws.

Our current Leadership promised to secure the border with Mexico. We are still paying for Health care for Non-citizens who will never pay a dime in taxes. There is a war on the border and we are vulnerable. Who is coming here? Are they criminals? Are they bringing drugs? Are they terrorists? We are at War and our Borders are wide open! I believe those who wish to come to the United States should have that opportunity when it is done legally. We are the Great Melting Pot. That is what makes us great. I will secure our border and enforce Immigration Law.

As Governor of Texas I will tackle these issues and make Texas a better place. I am not afraid of holding people accountable for their actions. I have had it with partisan politics. The Parties must unite and quit the finger pointing and complaining. Nothing can be accomplished if we continue on this path. I live Common Sense, even though it seems to be absent in today's world. I have served our Country and now I hope to serve TEXAS.

What have they done not what they say.......

I like mush of what he said and he does sound good. Might want to investigate his previous voting record and actions. We have to check out every politican more carefully now so we don't get another obama in office.

    PS
Why are the Czars in political positions, we never voted them into office?

    Kevin Still for Governer

Hello! I'm new here, but couldn't help but say something about this topic. Kevin Still and I have known each other for a very long time, and I partnered with him for 2 years on a Land Surveying crew. I consider him a very close friend. I am a very conservative republican, and I can get behind this guy. He doesn't have much political experience, but I think that could actually be one of his strong points, as he doesn't owe anyone already in office any favors. This guy is just an average, blue collar guy who is tired of being represented by people who don't actually represent us, the people. I agree with him, it's time one of us started holding people in office accountable for what they do "in our best interest," and the only way that is going to happen is if one of us is elected to a position. A lot of politicians promise a lot of things, and not much of it ever gets done, the difference between them and Kevin is that he will actually try to do what he says. He is conerned with us, not himself, and his future political goals. It's just time something was done.
