“It should be noted the LA Times is a publication dependent on corporate advertising. The big beneficiaries of the recently proposed legislation are employers that get a de facto amnesty. There are now over $250 billion in uncollected employer fines for immigration violations.â€

Me to, gives me a little hope. I do believe that there would be a backlash to them for giving American jobs away to illegals.

    No AMNESTY-EVER!

I pray that the this article's assertions about amnesty not being put into effect in 2009 are accurate!

I agree no general amnesty in 2009 but they will still try to get the Dream Act this year.

The political elites (e.g. such as Harry Reid who said so yesterday), and open border crowd still want mass amnesty "comprehensive reform" "pathway to citizenship" and are trying to spin this as "this will be good for the economy" etc. So the last thing we can be is complacent.

They may make an attempt at this while Obama's ratings are high and he is in his honeymoon phase, so be on guard. With millions of Americans losing their jobs, "comprehensive reform" amnesty is the LAST thing we should be talking about.

"My point is this: whatever challenges Obama’s administration may present us with, we have beaten them all back before. And if we have to fight the same battle to save America over and again, then we will—annoying, frustrating and exhausting though it is. We’ll have to remain vigilant and, of course, keep donating and writing angrily to our Congressmen."

On other point from this journalist: the more illegals migrate into this country-- the more costs, deaths and problems they create for all American citizens. Thus, our cause grows while their illegality defeats them via the ‘rule of law’ in our U.S. Constitution. Again, as Guzzardi said, we must remain vigilant and work for immigration law enforcement while we grow in numbers and power.

We shall never, never, ever give up!

Here is the trick folks :We’ll have to remain vigilant and, of course, keep donating and writing angrily to our Congressmen." and we must grow, we must recruit and grow in numbers.

Send any important story on illegal immigration to the MSM and Congress until we get some of them reporting on this issue, the president and don't forget Pelosi. Write letters to congress be sure they know the laws being passed in your states, this information tells them just what Americans want and expect! Send them articles on illegal crime and cost...storys of them taking American jobs especially during economic bad times! WE CAN DO THIS! OUR COUNTRY IS WORTH IT!
