    Sens. Lamar Alexander (R-TN) and Bob Corker (R-TN) today said they are backing legislation that opposes issuing state driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants residing in the United States.

    The Senate resolution, authored by Minnesota Republican Senator Norm Coleman, would make it the official position of the Senate that states which issue government identification to illegal immigrants are disrespecting and disregarding federal immigration laws. The measure also states that these actions present a national security risk and enable election fraud.

    Why a resolution. Why not make it LAW. I thought it was a law. IF not make it one Everybody passes the buck and says it's the federal govts duty, so, pass a LAW not a non binding resolution. What a waste of time and our money.

    Everyone is jumping on the anti 'illegals on wheels' bandwagon in hordes. A few more co-sponsors and no vote will be neccesary....hahaha.

    Elliot Spitzer, in secrecy, did more for the anti illegal immigration issue and united the American in a way no other act could.
