A man was arrested after an SUV rollover north of North Bend.

Oregon State Police responded to the accident where troopers discovered an overturned 2002 Ford Explorer on Sunday afternoon. Highway workers told them one person from the vehicle had left on foot.

Troopers found Orlando Vazquez, 36, of unknown residence hiding behind a gravel pile nearby. They determined he was the driver, according to an OSP press release.

Vazquez was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, reckless driving, reckless endangering, failure to perform the duties of a driver, no driver’s license, driving uninsured and an open container of alcohol. A glass pipe that Vazquez placed in the back of a patrol car will be sent to the OSP crime lab.

Vazquez was taken to the Coos County jail where he remained this morning on an immigration hold, the press release said.
