Economy May Force Obama to Abandon Plan to Overhaul Immigration

April 24 (Bloomberg) -- The long campaign to overhaul U.S. immigration laws may be derailed for yet another year -- this time by the deteriorating economy.

Lawmakers, lobbyists and advocates on both sides of the issue said the highest unemployment rate in more than 25 years would make it difficult for President Barack Obama to push legislation that would legalize millions of immigrants in the country illegally and create a new guest-worker program.

That presumes Obama cares about American citizens. That he's even willing to discuss amnesty is a sure sign he doesn't. He is more interested in becoming king of the world.

Will Americans recover from 25 years of abuse in the workplace within a year? Will see.

In the meantime there's the push for HATE CRIMES bill.It must be stopped.This is a bill that will give Moslems power to keep Westerners on their knees and tie up the courts with Preachers who read from Romans in the Bible. and place Miss CA in jail.These fascists must be stopped.Call these scum in DC and use every politically incorrect series of adjectives possible and ask if this would land you in jail.Then suggest we need a TREASON bill passed.Ask if they have found any vital records on Obama that he's willing to share yet,since we heard he's a fan of transparency.Ask the aide if when they finish releasing all the terrorists onto American streets if We the People can then send these treasonists writing such bills to Gitmo instead.Ask if they think there is enough space available.

This is a no brainer. And that's why even bringing this idiotic idea up in the first place was a canard. It was merely a temperature check for the populace (who is even more against illegals and Amnesty than ever before), as well as a "bone throw" to the pro-Amnesty lobby: "hey guys... I tried!"

I'm not sure how smart the current administration and congress are. It appears that they have taken the attitude that they will just shove whatever legislation Dems have wanted in the past through no matter the consequence or will of the American people. I can't tell if they are just over confident, or just don't care what happens in 4 or 8 years aslong as they get the bulk of their wanted legislation passed before they lose majority.

I don't buy that just because it isn't politically prudent that an attempt to shove amnesty through won't happen...
