FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Two suspected gang members are under arrest in a weapons bust that even surprised veteran police officers.

Anti gang officers found four assault weapons and three handguns after serving a search warrant at a home in central Fresno.

They also seized marijuana and $10,000 in cash. Their investigation started because of recent gang violence in the area. The confiscated guns included an AK-47, a TEC-9 and a modified Uzi.

Lt. Mike Doyle said, "I myself in 30 years of police work haven't seen an Uzi like that, this is the first time, I haven't seen such a powerful weapon before in Fresno or LA."

The two suspects face weapons charges.

Police now plan to conduct ballistics tests on the seized guns in the hopes it will help them solve past shooting cases.
