ICE intelligence chief suspended in fraud probe

EL PASO, Texas — A top U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement intelligence officer has been suspended amid allegations that he and a subordinate schemed to cash out bogus travel expense reports.

James M. Woosley was ICE's deputy director of intelligence until he was placed on administrative leave Feb. 4. His suspension came the same day the FBI raided the El Paso home of Ahmed Adil Abdallat, a senior ICE intelligence analyst.

Abdallat appeared at a detention hearing Wednesday. He is charged with receiving $123,000 in reimbursements for fake travel expenses.

Shannon N. Enochs, an FBI special agent, testified that Woosley took kickbacks for authorizing the phony expenses and spent years protecting Abdallat,

Enochs said Abdallat is the subject of a larger money laundering investigation and had at least $1.4 million in Jordanian bank accounts.

As times passes Homeland Security and ICE will wipe this Country clean of criminals and no one will block the Agencies from doing their jobs as they have done with States Law Enforcement Officers.
When you aid and support criminals, you live a criminal life style yourself:

3 plead guilty to travel receipt fraud at ICE

    Thu Jan 19, 2012.
Two Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials and a former agency contractor have pleaded guilty in an embezzlement scheme that a defense attorney says was organized by former ICE intelligence chief James Woosley.

Ahmed Adil Abdallat was sentenced Wednesday to 12 months in prison for illegal use of a diplomatic passport and submitting fake travel receipts to collect about $50,000. Most of the money was allegedly sent to Woosley.

Former official William Korn and former contractor Stephen Henderson await sentencing after previously pleading guilty to fraudulently collecting about $50,000 each in travel expenses.

Abdallat was arrested last February and is expected to be released this week. His attorney implicated Woosley.

A phone listing for Woosley couldn't be found. He was put on administrative leave following Abdallat's arrest but hasn't been charged.
