CALEXICO, Calif. - The Calexico School District is making sure all students are legitimate residents.

For years the school district has battled students who crossed the border from Mexico to attend Calexico schools.

The district is now making spontaneous home visits and even conducting surveillance.

Calexico Superintendent David Alvarez says, "We just want to assure all of our residents, the taxpayers of our community to make sure that students who come to school here live in Calexico. We're just following the law."

Why should American taxpayers educate illegal aliens?

ACLU can't touch this one, I think.

The school is talking about students who LIVE in Mexico and cross the border every day to attend the school. They do not reside in the US, which does not make them illegal aliens. They just want a free education at our expense.

Hmmm, where have I heard that before?

I don't think the ACLU can touch this either. How can they? I have made that statement in the past and have been wrong. I hope not.
