Draft boards a model for immigration fix, Gingrich says

By KENDRA MARR | 5/13/11 7:19 PM EDT Updated: 5/14/11 11:04 AM EDT

Newt Gingrich told a Univision interviewer that he believes a "citizen board" could be a better way to deal with the 11 million undocumented immigrants living in the United States.

In the interview on the network's show "Al Punto," which airs Sunday morning, Gingrich explained that during World War II, selective service boards were established so that "every local community could apply common sense to the draft process."

"We may want to think about a citizen board that can actually look at things and decide, is this a person that came in two months ago and doesn't nearly have any ties here? Or is this a person who clearly is integrated into the society but unfortunately has been undocumented, therefore, we have to rethink how we are approaching them," he said.

Gingrich said he is opposed to creating a pathway to citizenship for people who entered the country illegally, but at the same time he said he doesn't believe in mass deportation.

"Somebody who's been here 20 years and is married and has three kids and has been paying taxes and lived a totally peaceful life" but is an undocumented alien might deserve a second chance, he said.

"We got to find the way to routinize and get them in the law without necessarily getting them on a path to citizenship. Now there ought to be a way to do that."

I might also add .. thats the last thing America Needs ... Highly Trained Soldiers that make 18,000 a year that get out of the Military because the Cartels offer them 500,000 a year

By the way: How'd that Los Zeta's thingy work out for ya America

    Los Zetas Cartel

    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Los Zetas Cartel Founded 1999 In Mexico; Founded by rturo Guzmán Decena

Los Zetas Cartel is a criminal organization in Mexico dedicated mostly to international illegal drug trade, assassinations, and other organized crime activities. This drug cartel was founded by a small group of Mexican Army Special Forces deserters and now includes corrupt former federal, state, and local police officers, as well as ex-Kaibiles from Guatemala.

    History

In the late 1990s, the Gulf Cartel leader, Osiel Cárdenas Guillen, wanted to track down and kill rival cartel members as a form of protection. He began to recruit former Mexican Army’s elite Grupo Aeromóvil de Fuerzas Especiales (GAFE) soldiers. It is argued that they received some of their specialized military training in counter-insurgency and locating and apprehending drug cartel members at the military School of the Americas in the United States,[10][11] in Fort Bragg, North Carolina[12] and by other foreign specialists of the United States, France and Israel. They were trained in rapid deployment, aerial assaults, marksmanship, ambushes, small-group tactics, intelligence collection, counter-surveillance techniques, prisoner rescues and sophisticated communications. Military forces from around the world train at Fort Bragg, so there is nothing unique about Mexican operatives learning counter-insurgency tactics at the facility.[12]

Those of us(citizens) who have been here 60 plus years paying taxes deserve an honest fair government but I dont see you "Newt" concerned about citizens.

The only person has spoken about how to eliminate the illegal immigration problem is Herman Cain. All of the others seem to agree with amnesty for millions of illegal aliens.

I wonder why the numbers stays at 11 and 12 millions for such a long time, when undocumented aliens are still arriving to the U.S. on a daily basis and many lives in Shadows. California, Arizona and Texas may have 12 millions, without adding other States. The truth is, we have no idea of how many undocumented aliens currently residing in this Country, and this is a very dangerous issue.
When you aid and support criminals, you live a criminal life style yourself:
