Dear American Friends and Other Nations :



I am a foreigner from Colombia, South America, I am not an American Citizen and I can not vote in American Elections.

But I love this forum because of the Intellectual High Quality, the Friendliness and the Intelligence of the posters.

I have learned a lot here from Friends and I have changed many of my opinions on IMMIGRATION AND TRADE AGREEMENTS. Sometimes I have reversed ideas or have changed route 180 degrees.





The Amazon River and the Misty Forests of the Andes


I am NOT close to the US Capitol or White House but millions of miles away, trying to save the Sources of the Amazon River and the Misty Forests of the Andes from Environmental and Ecological Destruction.

But I like the data and information included in ALIPAC, so I hope that we will continue enjoying the illustration and lights on these topics. And specially on American voters during the US 2006 Elections.

I am very much afraid of the ANDEAN FTA between the USA and these Andean Countries : Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia. This trade Agreement will be signed probably in November.

I fear the impoverishment of the Peasants driving them to beggary. evicting them from their farms. So they destroy and burn the jungle for new crops, most likely narcotics.

I would welcome a FTA with Americans if it has some protection for all the nations involved, in regard to jobs, laws, etc ...

This is not the case. This FTA will be a disaster for all the parties involved.

So I hope that the US Elections produce house representatives that are not very friendly to MR BUSH enthusiasm for imprudent and absurd trade agreements.

My position is for the GOOD OF AMERICANS AND LATINS like brothers.

It is not a matter of XENOPHOBIA OR HATE. It is a matter of RATIONALITY AND FRIENDSHIP.

I read everything that they are talking for this ANDEAN FTA and FTAA and everything is absurd. This is preparation TO SET UP CONFLICT AND POVERTY.

Hi Vicente!! Good to see you still fighting the good fight. No Free Trade Agreement has merit and the USA needs to stop this Nonsense that hurts our nation and our fellow nations like the Andean Nations. I have barked, I have written, I have complained, I have called, I have emailed, I have faxed...hopefully some good will come of it.

Everyone needs to send the message to Washington, the President and the US Congress that WE DO NOT WANT ANY MORE FREE TRADE AGREEMENTS. First of all, they aren't free. Second, of all, they are not for our benefit but for the benefit of a handful of corporate elitists. Third, of all, they actually harm rather than benefit the countries we're doing business with.

Vicente, please tell your people that the American People are opposed. We know the truth about Free Trade that Really Isn't Free. Free Trade with thousands of pages of "regulations" governed by the WTO is NOT free trade.

Mr George W. Bush is traveling to Argentina during days 4 and 5 of November. And there he has a summit of presidents.

The Presidents of the Andean Nations will talk privately with Mr Bush.

I am deeply scared of an Andean Free Trade Agreement made in haste, in a hurry, in a Rush of Irresponsibility.

The Big Pharma Companies, The IBMs and Microsofts are going to earn some money.

But the American People are going to lose.

Millions of Peasants in Andean Countries will be faced with impoverishment and starvation.

They won't be able to compete against American Cereals with subsidies of US $100 per ton.

Thousands of Old Folks and the Weak will die because Big Pharma is going to hinder the market for GENERIC DRUGS in the Andean Nations.

They want to prolong drug patents AD INFINITUM. 25 or 27 years. More than in the USA or authorized by the WTO.

This is madness, brutality, cruelty. This seems to have been written by DR MENGELE.

This will be a Great Disaster of the ENVIRONMENT, ECOLOGY, DEFORESTATION OF THE AMAZON AND THE ANDES.

Thank you Vicente. And yes...our US Government and this Maniac are indeed sowing the seeds of hate. What is planned is horror beyond our comprehension. Literally, GMO (genetically-modified organisms, also called genetically-engineered seeds and also called transgenic plants) that do not have adequate research or experiments to properly evaluate the impact of these "Dr. Mengele" organisms on nature, wildlife, soils and other plants has not been performed. The long-term impact of these seeds and the foods made from them have had no human trials so the consequences are completely unknown.

We know they are injected with a toxin, Bt Toxin that kills wildlife. We know that over a life time of ingesting toxins, human health can be impacted. We know they contaminate natural and conventional fields by blowing in the wild in the wind. We know they kill honey bees and other beneficial insects like Monarch butterflies and birds and small mammals. We know they are sterile and do not reproduce but at the same time intermingle with natural plants. We also know they are weak and not as strong as hybridized or natural plants and if the food supply world wide is converted to this type of seed and plant and Mother Nature attacks it, the entire crop could be wiped out and there would be no food for people. We know enough to know that Mankind should not rely upon these GMO products for survival as a Species.

When things go wrong as they surely will, these seeds will truly spawn hate and war as people all across the globe fight to survive with nothing to eat....all because the "Dr. Mengeles" of major corporations wanted to control the food supply of the world, develop a monopoly to profit unethically from the food chain, and by controlling the food supply and the ecology, control Mankind and the World.

Iraq during the provisional government with bombs bursting and people dying in the streets, the US led provisional government lured the Iraqis to pass a law that for all practical purposes establishes GMO farming as the New Farming System in Iraq. The same occured in Afghanistan.

There is inadequate science; inadequate experiments; inadequate information; inadequate disclosures; inadequate regulations; inadequate labelling; inadequate warnings; inadequate due diligence....on these products....for them to be used in fields and the food grown from them ingested.

There were noo human trials yet the organisms were approved by the US Food and Drug Administration and the US Department of Agriculture.

Europe bans them. Canada bans them. Mexico bans them. India burned their fields once they saw the plants contaminating other fields. Gerber Baby Food refuses to use them in their foods due to concern for the babies.

Yet, our government in the Chaos of Wars we started, establishes this nonsense in Iraq and Afghanistan with barely a word spoken about it.

The American People have been "duped"....the Iraqis have been "duped"...and the Afghans have been "duped".

Vicente, do everything you can to save the Andean Nations from this outrageous free trade agreement that will sow these seeds virtually at will; will destroy your farmers; pose a threat to the priceless Rain Forests of the Andean Nations and Colombia; and set the stage for disaster virtually beyond our comprehension.

I wish this was a Science Fiction Story, but unfortunately it is Stark Cold Truth and Reality of a group of business organizations in cohoots with the US Government that can only be described as a Bunch of Maniacs whom you so correctly refer to as "Dr. Mengeles" and even that is giving them credits they don't deserve.

What does THIS have to do with illegal immigration?

Free Trade Agreements establish free flow of people, labor and goods into the United States. The greater the population in the US, the more mouths to feed. The more mouths to feed, the more willing the mouths are to work for a Bowl of GMO Mush. The more that are willing to work for a Bowl of GMO Mush, the smaller the bowl needs to be for those handing it out to get what they want from the mouths.

The mouths are Drones and those handing out food are the Crones.

Drones are the masses serving the Crones in working poverty or worse all because we let them flood our nation illegally with more people than it can sustain; because we refused to stand up to these Maniacs and demand our borders closed and our laws enforced; because we were Duped and Conned and Betrayed by those We Trusted and Elected to Public Office....and were too Cowardly to kick their butts out and put them on trial for Treason against the People of the United States.

Without the United States, freedom dies. If Americans are all fighting to stay alive, WE will no longer be the Pillar of Freedom and Democracy for the World.

All citizens need to contact their rep and demand that Bush be immediately impeached before he does more damage to this country especially with these horrendous not so free trade agreements. You republican voters who support this party. Time to grow a pair. Time to tell your republican reps and senators that you want Bush to be impeached and you will not vote for another republican again until it is done. Either impeach this guy or lose the votes of millions of Americans. Surely the republican party wouldn't be dumb enough to thumb their noses at that, or would they? If they are then they deserve to be a party no more.

Not only should Bush be impeached, but his administration should be removed from power as well. Then all of Bush's policies including his not so free trade agreements should be immediately abolished and rendered unconstitutional (which they totally are).
