Federal agents arrest Mexican man with 4 drunken driving convictions

Federal agents arrested a Mexican man with at least four drunken driving convictions during a raid last week.

The Harlingen Fugitive Operations Unit -- a part of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement -- arrested 44-year-old Jesus Artemio De Alba-Medrano on Wednesday, according to the criminal complaint against him.

Born in Mexico, De Alba and his wife lived in Alamo, according to Hidalgo County court records.

De Alba was convicted of drunken driving offenses in 1997, 2000, 2004 and 2007, according to Hidalgo County court records.

Federal agents charged De Alba with illegal re-entry. He remains in custody.
