Groups ask ID lawmakers to dump immigration bills

BOISE, Idaho (AP) - Immigrant advocacy groups want Idaho lawmakers to dump three bills targeting illegal workers and companies that employ them, on grounds such reform should be left to the federal government.

Catholic Charities of Idaho and the Idaho Community Action Network were among critics of the bills at a press conference on Monday.

The strictest of the measures pending in the Idaho Legislature, sponsored by Sen. Mike Jorgenson of Hayden Lake, would require companies to use the federal E-Verify system and would suspend a business's license if it were caught knowingly hiring illegal workers.

Christine Tiddens, a Catholic Charities spokeswoman, told reporters immigration was a "fundamental moral issue which impacts human life and dignity."

Tiddens says the measures up for consideration sow "chaos and fear."

It's already federal law that illegals cannot work here, nor can employers hire them, we demand enforcement of those laws.

Awww boo hoo! They are free to leave the US anytime, with our blessings. Americans should not be overburdened with subsidizing these criminals. Ilegal immigrants negatively impact our lives and dignity, they should show some dignity and get the hell out of here!

How many morals and how much dignity can any of these people have when they have broken every law in this country for the sake of greed. I also have a few choice words for their employers which shall not be written.

She should take them home compliments of the Catholic Church to make sure their ride is conducted with the fundamental moral issues for a safe and dignified trip to their nation of citizenship where they belong.

Oh, and this lobbying, influencing legislation and impacting public policy by Christine Tiddens is strictly prohibited for 501 C 3 organizations like the Catholic Charities and the IRS should promptly jerk their tax-exempt status permanently.

Catholic Charities is ruining the country with their Refugee "dumping!"
I call them and argue with whoever answers the damn phone. Last Friday I flipped out on them because they keep dumping 3rd world people in three of our bigger cities and they seem to be lawless. Who needs that crap! Mostly I get mad because they NEVER DEPORT THE THUGS!! Why not, if you are uncivilized and have no desire to follow our laws I say GO THE HELL HOME! (I'm getting mad again...)

One family had 3 boys in 2 years, be killed. The police shot one. Then the father went home to visit Somalia and he got killed. One was shot working. At least they are killing their own but in the mean time many are causing lots of trouble and sucking our welfare up when then aren't doing their charity fraud. It SUCKS!

Alaska has lots of unused land, I'm just saying........

I even called the police to monitor it because a guy on there was threatening another person. Saying he was going to find him and fix him good. That he would kill him...I couldn't believe it. The police monitor the comments because she knew he was a new poster. I had never seen the name either.

I suppose it was a small memory lapse that caused her to not mention the additional federal money Catholic Charities receives for every "immigrant" it helps.
