    Lou Dobbs Tonight
    Wednesday, May 21, 2008

The price of oil passed $133 a barrel today. The United States
knows it is hurt strategically by its dependence on oil from
    foreign—and sometimes hostile—countries. So why hasn’t there
been a greater effort to increase production here at home?
Where is the exploration? What happened to oil shale
    technology?

We’ll have that story and all the latest from the campaign
trail as Sens. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama both campaign
    in Florida. Plus:

    * Senators are putting pressure on America’s hi-tech companies
to create a code of conduct when it comes to dealing with
dictatorships like communist China. Yesterday, Cisco was
embarrassed by leaked internal documents showing the company’s
cooperation with China’s efforts to crack down on dissidents.

    * Families devastated by the harmful and sometimes deadly
effects of toys tainted with lead are on Capitol Hill today
urging Congress to pass tough legislation to protect children.

    * A conservative Christian group has filed an ethics complaint
against federal prosecutor Johnny Sutton arguing that he
mishandled the case of Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and
Jose Compean, who were convicted of shooting a fleeing illegal
alien drug suspect. The group compares Sutton’s actions to
those of Mike Nifong, the discredited prosecutor in the Duke
    Lacrosse rape case.

    * Today the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, known for its
amnesty and open-borders agenda, holds a press conference on
media portrayal of immigration in this country.

Lou’s new radio program, the Lou Dobbs Show, debuted in March.

of last night’s split primaries in Oregon and Kentucky.

Robert Zimmerman and Politico’s Jeanne Cummings join Lou for
with their insights. And as always, Lou will be taking your
