Two men wanted by Interpol arrested at N.Y. border crossing

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. Two men wanted overseas have been arrested while trying to cross the U-S-Canadian border at Buffalo.

U-S Customs and Border Patrol agents at the Peace Bridge arrested a 26-year-old Canadian citizen born in Albania and a 38-year-old citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina with legal U-S permanent residence status.

Officials say the Canadian resident (Eris Copa) is wanted on a warrant in Belgium where he faces charges for sexual assault on a minor, pimping, forgery, human trafficking, narcotics and prostitution.

The other man (Mladen Ubiparipoviv) is wanted for murder following a 1987 conviction in his home country.

Both men are expected to be extradited to their respective homelands.
