Deconstructing Harry Reid: Washington DC Axis of Evil

Washington DC Axis of Evil has achieved negative popularity numbers rivaling that of President Grant in the South following the Civil War

    Deconstructing Harry Reid

    By Bob Beers
    Monday, April 19, 2010

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, along with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the first alleged-American President Barack Obama have had a busy year. Together they have set a number of records:

    1. The greatest percentage of lies told in a campaign,

    2. The greatest number of lies ignored by the media in a campaign,

    3. The greatest growth of the Federal Government,

    4. The greatest growth in the Federal Deficit,

    5. The greatest growth in the national debt, and

    6. The greatest reduction in popularity.

In fact, it may not be going too far to suggest that this Washington DC Axis of Evil has achieved negative popularity numbers rivaling that of President Grant in the South following the Civil War.

In Nevada, Reid’s numbers are below 40% and falling. http://preview.tinyurl.com/yecmynw Most politicians would be somewhat concerned with this information but not Teflon Harry. His history shows a pattern of ignoring the voters, hostility to business and indifference to education. In order to be worthy of his support, you have to either be willing to contribute massive amounts of cash, a fan of the socialist agenda, or an enemy of the ideal of American Sovereignty.
During the last campaign, Harry Reid was heard on air scoffing at the notion of using the National Guard to guard our southern border. When illegals and their supporters marched, many of them carrying the Mexican flag above an upside-down Old Glory, Reid was remarkably silent. About the only time Harry Reid agreed with George Bush was when Bush attempted to push through legislation intended to reduce border security when concerned with Mexican freight.

Now we have another campaign building up to speed and Reid is depending upon the illegal vote to push him over the top. There has been no overt statement of that, of course, but anyone with the capacity to read character (this excludes liberals, obviously), can see where the Senate Majority is placing his bet. His recent letter to the editor http://www.lvrj.com/opinion/we-must-fix ... 50394.html to Nevada’s largest paper is an example:

This paragraph, “Regardless of this newspaper’s opinion or agenda, nobody who thinks seriously about this issue believes it is fiscally or physically possible to deport the estimated 12 million people in this country who are undocumented. One recent report estimated that doing so would cost a staggering $200 billion, or more than the combined budgets for the Departments of Homeland Security, Treasury, Justice, Energy, Education, Commerce, and Agriculture. Mass deportation is unrealistic.â€
