SB 2255 moves to committee CALL NOW
SB 2255 The Border Fence Fund Act is moving to the Senate Judiciary A Committee in Jackson, MS. The vote will take place sometime this week or before Tuesday Feb. 1 st.
This bill will fund the border fence from the States by imposing a fee on money (remittances) sent to foreign countries from people unlawfully present in our country. We have waited for over 25 years for border security but it will never happen as long as it continues to be a political football with the goal being amnesty. Already all the tough talk on illegal immigration after the election in DC is starting to walk it back. And the virtual fence that was supposed to integrate with the 2006 Secure Fence Act has just been canceled.
We aren't waiting anymore. Our local budgets are collapsing. We need to protect ourselves now. We are spending 113 Billion dollars a year on educating, medicating and incarcerating illegal aliens of which the vast majority comes from State and local budgets.
Another State has already joined MS to pass this same legislation. Two more States are also looking into this legislation this week. If just half the States participate, we can raise 1.2 billion dollars annually for the fence. Only after this fence is built will we have interior enforcement. And no longer will our National security be compromised for amnesty.
Senator Joey Fillingane has requested people to start calling AND emailing now, these members of the Judiciary A committee to show them that we really really want a border fence. They represent all of us when they are in committee.

I'm sorry but I don't understand this article. What has MS to do with all this? Do they mean the border fence between US and Mexico? Can someone provide more information? I will call those folks, but what am I supposed to say? Thanks.

That is correct,
and let me tell you how excited AZ and NM is about this bill. Please go to mspatriots.com to read the bill, press releases and listen to interviews.
Our spokesperson will be doing a TV show this weekend on the bill, it is streamed over the internet. It is a debate format. And they didn't pick one of our Senators who is passing our AZ law right now or an expert from m-fire to do it. They picked a Tea Pary type guy for a smack down. They will be disappointed.
Marvin Cox will be on "On the Record" WTOK, an ABC affiliate in Meridian on Sunday at 5:30pm Central Time to talk about our bill, if all goes well.
It is streamed live on the internet. Go to
http://www.wtok.com/politics
click on news, in the left hand corner, and mouse down to live streaming.

The people can,
the only people against it are lawmakers!
the concept of collecting money and sending it another state is freaking them out.

Welcome Aboard jd42. I understand this now. However, the loudest screamers against this bill are going to be the illegal aliens from south of our border. They send the bulk of monies outside the country. I fear it's going to be an upward battle since so many people are profiting from this practice. Follow the money!!
