Police arrest day laborers in undercover sting

COSTA MESA, Calif. — Police posing as prospective employers have arrested 12 day laborers seeking work on the streets of an Orange County city.

Costa Mesa police Lt. Mark Manley said Friday officers fanned out across the city in plainclothes and regular cars about two weeks ago in response to residents' complaints about the workers blocking traffic.

Manley says once laborers agreed to take the jobs, they were arrested and brought to the city jail on suspicion of violating rules governing work solicitation. Manley says some were screened by federal immigration authorities.

I'm AMAZED!

This smacks of some effort at making propaganda for the upcoming Amnesty push...

FAR too good to be true that ANY authorities would do this kind of operation on a regular basis...

Every day laborer in Costa Mesa now has to worry every time they get in a car or truck that instead of a days work they might be headed to jail and deportation.

Something is wrong, this is not what Janet has ordered, must be time for you to report to the Judiciary Committee again.

Believe me their is more here than meets the eye! They are probably going to set them right up with a green card!

This has nothing to do with DHS.

It was done by a local city police department.

It had to do with

the workers blocking traffic.

and

violating rules governing work solicitation.
