U.S. Border Patrol Weekly Blotter, Blaine Sector Mar. 1 – Mar. 7

Blaine, Wash. – The information listed below is from arrests and seizures related to U.S. Border Patrol in the Blaine Sector area of operations. For security reasons, this may not be a complete list of enforcement actions.

03/02/2012 – A United States Border Patrol agent responded to a report of possible illegal border activity in or around Monument Park in Point Roberts, Washington. The agent encountered a group of subjects leaving the park and determined that three of the individuals had not been legally admitted into the United States. The three subjects, all citizens of Canada, were placed under arrest and processed for return to Canada.

03/03/2012 – Agents patrolling near La Push, Washington encountered a subject who ran and tried to hide in the tree line on the side of the road at the sight of their marked Border Patrol vehicle. The agents were able to locate the individual and ascertained the reason for the subject’s behavior. The individual admitted that he ran because he was in the United States illegally. The subject, a citizen of Mexico who had been apprehended by the U.S. Border Patrol two times previously, was placed under arrest and processed for removal.

03/04/2012 – Remote video surveillance system operators observed one person cross illegally into the United States from Canada in an area east of Blaine, Washington. The responding agents were able to locate and apprehend the subject, a Canadian citizen, who was subsequently placed under arrest and processed for removal.

03/06/2012 – Agents in Blaine, Washington apprehended three citizens of Honduras who were determined to be illegally present in the United States. The individuals had ran at the sight of the marked Border Patrol vehicle in attempt to hide. The subjects admitted to having crossed together just prior to their apprehension. The subjects were placed under arrest and processed for removal.
