Great News! You did it again!!!

This is Ron Pearson, reporting from the Capitol and I have great news.

Sen. McConnell filed cloture on the Senate DOD authorization bill making the DREAM Act non-germane. Therefore, the DREAM Act will not move forward on the DOD authorization bill.

So ... for the moment, we do not have to worry about the DREAM Act being attached to the DOD bill. But Sen. Reid has already vowed to bring the bill back up before the November recess.

We must stay vigilant!! We need to stay fired up! Many of our Senators still do not get the message that the American people want nothing to do with amnesty.

No matter how they dress it up; disguise it or cover it with perfume, it still stinks!

ENACTING THE "DREAM" ACT WILL GIVE MORE OF OUR CHILDREN AN OPPORTUNITY TO SUCCEED. MR. PRESIDENT, SENATOR DURBIN AND ALL WHO CARE ABOUT THIS MATTER SHOULD KNOW THAT WE WILL MOVE TO PROCEED TO THIS MATTER BEFORE WE LEAVE HERE.

I'M GOING TO DO MY UTMOST TO DO IT ON NOVEMBER -- BY NOVEMBER 16. THIS IS IMPORTANT LEGISLATION. WE HAVE A COMMITMENT TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE TO DO THIS. IT WAS PART OF THE COMPREHENSIVE IMMIGRATION REFORM. IT WAS A KEY PART OF COMPREHENSIVE IMMIGRATION REFORM.

As you can see, the Majority Leader seems to care far more about the welfare of illegal aliens than he cares about the educational needs of the children of lawful American citizens.

Rest assured, we will stay on top of this and alert you to what is going on and what we need to do to stop this, once again.
