Mexican gov't launches American PR campaign

Mexican gov't launches American PR campaign
    Chad Groening - OneNewsNow - 2/26/2008 12:00:00 PM

A pro-family activist says the Mexican government is engaging in a multi-million-dollar public relations campaign designed to tug on Americans' heartstrings and change their minds about illegal immigration.

William Greene, publisher of the website RightMarch.com, says Mexican President Felipe Calderon believes the nationwide PR campaign will "help the U.S. public recognize 'the irreplaceable contribution of Mexicans to the United States, to its economy and its society.'"

"They're going to highlight inspirational success stories of Mexican immigrants who prospered in American society ... [the objective being] to convince the American people that illegal immigration is okay and we just need to stop discriminating against illegals," describes Greene. "[They want to convince us to] just give them amnesty and move on."

But Greene contends that it is all about the money. "Twenty-three billion dollars is sent back to Mexico every year in remittances to help support their families," he points out. "This secretary in Mexico said the remittances from the United States are a major source of income, the second largest after oil exports."

Greene is trying to raise money for ads to expose what the Mexican government is trying to do, and says it is up to the heart and soul of the American people to stop amnesty.

enty-three billion dollars is sent back to Mexico every year in remittances to help support their families,
Along with $1.4 Billion to build a wall on their southern border!

Do we get an expense report for accountability for every penny spent from these continued "U.S. Gov't hand-outs" from a foreign Gov't who keeps meddling with OUR RIGHTS AS AMERICANS?!?!?!?!?!?!?

If there were no problems with illegal immigrants there would be no need of a media campaign promoting illegal immigrants.

Rather than attempting to brainwash the U.S. public to accept illegal activity with commercials, direct the money into solutions addressing the problem.

What next---ad campaigns promoting illegal drugs be made legal?

Pictures of children who live in fear their illegal drug using parents might be arrested sothey don't do as well in school. Illegal drug users arrested in front of their tearful children and who will care for the children if the parents are arrested?

Images of the poor farmer cultivating his drug crop so his poor mother can have an operation and his children can be fed. He pays property taxes and sales taxex from his income.

The sad tale of a drug smuggler who smuggles drugs at the risk of life and limb, imprisonment, and the confiscation of his vehicle. Kissing his wife good-bye before a 'job' and never knowing if he will see her or his children ever again.

Pictures of government officials who accept bribes so they and their children can have a better life.

The deadly battles over drug cartel turfs featuring the percentage of 'profit' lost to bribing governmental officials. How they stimulate and contribute to the 'funeral industry', how their members pay taxes and purchase luxary items which stimulates the economy and trade treaties.
Living in the shadows in fear of a government raid and 'profits' and property confiscated and the constant fear of rival drug cartel attacks.

How their human and civil rights to live openly with respect, dignity and rights are denied. How they are discriminized against for their occupation and 'criminally' profiled.
"Distrust and caution are the parents of security."

Exactly. And once again.....it's all about the Mexican illegals when we have illegals from all over the world.

He can save the campaigne money and maybe invest in their oil problems, or build the streets and schools and such they said they would do. They can say whatever they want.....I know what I see everyday.
