Henderson County To Deport Illegals Charged With Crimes

Calling it a historic day in western North Carolina law enforcement; the Henderson County Sheriff and his deputies are punishing illegal immigrants who commit crimes, like they never have before: By sending them home.
It’s a new way of reducing crime in the county, that went into effect Tuesday morning.
Two years in the making, the sheriff’s department became the first in the region to poses the power to deport illegal immigrants who are charged with crimes in the county. In the past it would have to be done at the federal level.
Nine deputies were trained by the government and have become immigration officers in addition to their regular duties.
