ELON — North Carolinians favor Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Fred Thompson over other presidential candidates in their parties, according to the latest Elon University Poll released Friday.

The poll questioned 664 people between Sept. 24 and Sept. 27 and has a margin of error of 3.88 percent.

Clinton, a U.S. senator from New York and the national Democratic front-runner, trounced other Democrats in the campaign with nearly 2-to-1 support. That included John Edwards, a former senator from North Carolina and Barack Obama. According to the poll, the former first lady has the support of 37.4 percent of those planning to vote Democratic in the 2008 election. Twelve percent said it was too early too tell which Democrat they would support. Another 9 percent don’t know.

Thompson, a former actor and U.S. senator from Tennessee, led his party with 27.9 percent of republican voters favoring him. Rudy Giuliani trailed with 21 percent of respondents supporting him. More than 16 percent said it was too early too tell which Republican they would support.

I don't understand why people who say they want change are going to vote Hillary? Haven't we had enough of the Clinton family? If you think Bush is secretive, wait for Hillary. She is for illegal immigration, globalization and bad FREE trade agreements. She will keep our soliders in Iraq and is just going to be bad, bad, bad for our Naiton.

All the politicos in NC know that the ELON polls are rigged by the deep Democrat insider globalists. We have seen ELON polls released with a political message that was wrong again and again.

You cannot trust ELON polls at all.
