The Border Patrol says it arrested a Mexican man on charges of smuggling 25 illegal immigrants in a trailer while driving on Interstate 8 toward San Diego.

The agency said Monday that the 56-year-old legal U.S. resident confessed to highway checkpoint inspectors that he was carrying people in a trailer attached to his Ford F-250 truck. His name was not released.

According to the Border Patrol, 20 men and five women were found inside the trailer Sunday night in Pine Valley, east of San Diego. All were illegal immigrants from Mexico. They were either sent back to Mexico or are held as witnesses.

I take this to mean he's a "Naturalized" citizen. Charge him with a felony, make him serve his time... then deport him! If this isn't a deportable offense I don't know what is.
