    Domestic violence arrests dominate Bridgeton crime log

    BRIDGETON

    * Kevin L. McLemore, 32, of Falcon Street, was arrested Monday morning on two failure to appear warrants and a contempt warrant. He was lodged in Cumberland County Jail on $1,538 bail.

    * Rogelio Ojeda Dominguez, 31, of North Laurel Street, was arrested Sunday night at his home on the charge of simple assault. He was released on his own recognizance.

    The charge stems from an alleged incident of domestic violence.

    * Ashanti T. Rankin, 34, of Cohansey Street, was arrested Sunday night on a failure to appear warrant and lodged in the county jail on $1,500 bail.

    * Jimmy Ford, 36, of Atlantic Street, was arrested Sunday night on two failure to appear warrants and lodged in the county jail on $28,500 bail.

    * Patricia Moore, 49, of Lawrence Township, was arrested Sunday afternoon on a failure to appear warrant and lodged in the county jail on $1,500 bail.

    * Carlos J. Martinez, 33, of North Laurel Street, was arrested early Sunday at his home on the charge of simple assault. He was released on his own recognizance.

    The charge stems from an alleged incident of domestic violence.

    * Julie M. Overby, 33, of Vineland, was arrested early Sunday on two failure to appear warrants. Also charged with obstruction of justice, she was lodged in the county jail on $2,500 bail.

    * Victor Meridia, 36, of Walnut Street, was arrested Saturday night at McCormick Place and Pearl Street on the charge of driving while intoxicated.

    Police stopped the vehicle Meridia was driving after receiving a report that the car was being operated in an erratic manner on South Avenue.

    A suspected illegal immigrant, Meridia was lodged in the county jail without bail on a detainer issued by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

    * Anibal Hernandez, 25, of Millville, was arrested Saturday night outside of Bridgeton Deli, located on Irving Avenue, on the charges of simple assault, criminal restraint and harassment.

    The assault and restraint charges stem from an alleged incident of domestic violence. The harassment charge stems from repeated phone calls Hernandez allegedly made to the victim's workplace on Saturday.

    Hernandez was released on his own recognizance.

    * Isaias Jimenez, 35, of Church Street, was arrested Saturday night at his home on the charge of simple assault. He was released on his own recognizance.

    The charge stems from an alleged incident of domestic violence.

    * Otoniel Lopez, 25, of Cottage Avenue, was arrested Saturday night on the charge of simple assault, accused of striking his sister during an altercation at his home. He was released on his own recognizance.

    * Willie Lee Smith, 48, of Philadelphia, was arrested Saturday on a failure to appear warrant and lodged in the county jail on $2,500 bail.

    * Eliseo Garcia, 23, of East Avenue, was arrested early Saturday on the charges of simple assault, criminal mischief and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

    Garcia allegedly attacked his 23-year-old roommate with a shower-curtain rod, then proceeded to break out four windows to the assault victim's girlfriend's car, causing an estimated $1,150 damage.

    Bail on the charges was set at $2,500. A suspected illegal immigrant, Garcia will be held in the county jail without bail on a detainer issued by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

    * Alejandro Escobar, 28, of Cohansey Street, was arrested early Saturday on North Pearl Street on the charge of driving while intoxicated. He also was cited for reckless driving, driving while unlicensed and following another vehicle too closely.

    A suspected illegal immigrant, Escobar was lodged in the county jail without bail on a detainer issued by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

    * William D. Spencer, 25, of Vine Street, was arrested Friday evening at Burlington Manor on the charges of defiant trespass and obstruction of justice. He also was served four contempt warrants.

    Spencer was lodged in the county jail without bail.

    * Roymonia A. Brown, 33, of Coral Avenue, was released from the city justice building on Friday after she posted the required amount of $1,500 bail on a failure to appear warrant.
