The Mississippi Attorney General’s Office has added additional charges to an illegal immigrant arrested last week for identity theft.

Miriria Isabel, 46, of Forest is charged with two more counts of identity theft to go along with the two she was previously charged with.

Isabel is accused of using the social security number of a Houston, Texas resident to obtain two loans through the Central Mississippi Federal Credit Union. The new charges allege she also used the information for two hospital visits at Lackey Memorial Hospital totaling $2,371.

Isabel has remained in the Scott County Jail since her initial appearance in court on June 30.

Scott County Justice Court Judge Wilbur McCurdy set a $5,000 bond on the first two counts. He has now added a $50,000 bond for the second two counts.
