I am concerned about how they're viewing immigration. The United States wants to send everybody who is illegal here back to their country. Immigration is not a really big problem, but that's how a lot of people and the government view it. Immigrants come to work and what the United States doesn't want to realize is that they are helping the economy. They're here to have a better life.
Immigrants throughout the United States earn about two-thirds less than an American does, as stated by the Urban Institute. Just here in Lake County the pear orchards have not and probably won't get picked because there's not enough workers, not only because immigrants are taking jobs in construction, but because immigration around Lake County and throughout the United States is really tough these days.

Closing down the border and putting a wall that is going to cost the United States millions of dollars might result in few immigrants not crossing over
here, but immigrants will find a way to cross over here no matter what.

Lots of people have a view that immigrants are here taking American citizens jobs. I believe this is a myth because they are actually filling empty jobs and not taking jobs away from them. Lake County has suffered a shortage of pear pickers and it will probably continue to be like this, unless the United States does something about it.

I believe the United States should give work permits to immigrants who work here. This will benefit the United States because cheap labor is what capitalists want. Even if farmers paid $15 to $20 an hour to work the fields, they would still have trouble finding workers to do these jobs.

Let's put this in perspective, the United States does not lose anything, it's the greedy employers that hire illegals that lose. Is our dignity really worth the millions the farming community is losing? I for one don't think so. The rule of law must be observed by everyone functioning in our society. You dug your own whole, now you can wallow in it.

Stop, you are breaking my heart here! It might mean cheap to the capitalist, it is not cheap to the rest of the Americans subsidizing the rest of their care. How cheap is that labor do you think to the 28 thousaand american families who have lost loved ones due to the illegal criminals in just 3 yrs? Not all are here just to work jobs, many of them are here just to prey on American Citizens. Do you think the wife and children of officer Rodney Johnson who was shot in the back 4 times by an illegal criminal, now considers that labor to be so cheap? I would doubt it.

Just like they don't care about our immigration, employment, tax, housing, DUI or driving laws, they sure don't care about us stupid Americans getting killed by their fellow amigos. One more death commited by an illegal is one less lazy gringo to worry about. The most disgusting thing is not only do the illegal aliens feel that way, but so does Bush and most of the rest of our government.

I read in a recent report that some congressman said everyday 25 innocent Americans are murdered by illegals, and this doesn't include those killed by DUI/Hit & Run drivers, 25 Americans murdered every single day. That's more Americans than are killed in battle in Iraq and Afghanistan each day. And Bush says his biggest fear is someone slipping across the border and killing Americans. Hey El Preisdente Bushwad, try thousands slipping across the border and killing Americans, you traitorous buffoon.

First the U.S. does NOT really want to send illegals back. If they did they would. Just like they make sure they take taxes from my hard earned wages. The government ONLY gets on the band wagon when there is a threat to their exsistence.

Now as far as illegal workers go. They come here and take low paying jobs.

However that is only temporary.

Just like every man and woman. When the opportunity to take a better job comes along. They will take it.

Define a low paying job to an AMERICAN who is UNEMPLOYED.

ALL CITIZENS SHOULD FIRST BE EMPLOYED WITH HEALTH CARE BENEFITS. Before ANY Immigrant can have the job.

This is the only way to curb the insane illegal immigration to the U.S.

Most Immigrants I know have a distain for this country.

Yet they love the economic and health care benefits that they enjoy.



Now explain how one can come here stating that they want a better life and want to support the country. Yet when found to be here illegally they want to dismiss the law. But wait! They came here illegally right? So how do you begin by BREAKING the law and then believe because capitalist use you for CHEAP Labor. You should be GRANDFATHERED in as a citizen.
