Jessica Colotl shows how Illegal Immigrants get a free ride

Jessica Colotl, illegal immigrant, is a perfect example of how Illegal Immigration should be dealt with as a criminal matter and not ignored. Jessica was Illegally brought to this country by her parents from Mexico. It seems the family decided to plant roots in Cobb County, GA and that is where they have been for over 8 years. Jessica was caught driving without a license and that is where her Illegal status became known and she was arrested. Jessica was released and then another warrant was issued for her because she gave false information to the police. Now there are people, including groups like the ACLU, who are going around talking of how we have hurt this poor child and that she just wanted to finish college. No one has bothered to ask what other laws Jessica and her family have broken in order to get taxpayer funded benefits, if any. No one asks how this girl was ILLEGALLY driving a motor vehicle and for how long. All we hear is how Jessica and her parents are “hard working members of the communityâ€

I want a name. The name I want is of the US born and raised of citizen parents kid who did not get help going to school because illegal Jessica received his aid. Then I want the names of the bean counter that made the decision. Then I want the name of the administrator(s) who determined this policy. They need to be living in the neighborhoods with latin music blaring all night and can't sleep well enough to be any good at work in the morning, in the streets and the stores where they will assault you just as soon as look at you even if you are 9 months pregnant, and make them work the low-wage jobs alongside the illegals and see just how citizens have it as a war every day at work, and have the fruit of the gringa nation violated from your wives and daughters just because they are going to take everything they can get for free - even sex.

I think there is only one way to cure bleeding heart disease.

Scratch a liberal and you get a conservative.

I hope that she pays the money she owes the KSU before they give her the degree. I feel much more sympathy for the legal Latino on the AJC comments to the article named Carlos Quesandilla than I do you Sarum.
I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

It’s tough to be an illegal immigrant in the United States these days.

But it’s even tougher to be an illegal immigrant caught up in the meat grinder of a Republican primary.

Jessica Colotl, the 21-year-old Kennesaw State University student from Mexico whose secret was uncovered during a traffic stop, must think she’s hauling the entire GOP race for governor on her back.

Three candidates — former state Sen. Eric Johnson, state Insurance Commissioner John Oxendine and former Secretary of State Karen Handel — say they’d like to see people like Colotl expelled from all state universities.

A spokesman for Nathan Deal says that, for years, the former congressman has written university officials in North Georgia, warning that they break federal law when they permit undocumented students to pay in-state tuition rates. As Colotl did.

But the young lady can take some comfort, however small, in the fact that she has merely become the face of a debate that has been bubbling within the state Capitol for years — out of sight, just like Colotl and her parents.

Policy has been the driving force. On one hand, an estimated 60,000 to 70,000 undocumented students graduate from high school each year in the U.S., according to David Hawkins, director of public policy for the National Association of College Admissions Counselors.

Denying them access to college, advocates for the undocumented say, is a sure-fire way to create a permanent, uneducated — and thus dangerous — underclass.

But in Georgia, the prevailing argument has been that undocumented students eat up the resources — and limited university slots — that should belong to legal residents of the state. The result, it appears, has been a rear-guard action to dilute and delay.

In 2005, five Republican state senators — including Chip Rogers, now Senate majority leader, and Casey Cagle, now lieutenant governor — introduced SB 171, a bill to bar undocumented students from all state universities under any circumstances.

It was withdrawn. The next year, the Republican-controlled Legislature passed SB 529, which — until Arizona passed its measure this year — was called the nation’s toughest state-sponsored attempt to curb illegal immigration.

The legislation shut off state-paid benefits to illegal immigrants in a number of areas. But the bill permitted the Board of Regents, which oversees the University System of Georgia, to develop its own policy toward undocumented students, as long as it complied “with all federal lawâ€

Huh? Why don't you post a link and explain? I do not think that you are a troll because I see the number of times that you have posted.

Do you make enough money to send your child to college? Are you a citizen? Has your child missed out on opportunity because of his/her race, ethnicity, or national origin? Have you been denied opportunity because of the same issues? Have you or anybody you know or love been brutally raped because of their skin color? Have you or anybody you love been displaced in their job by outsourcing, dumbsizing, or an illegal alien? Have you experienced hardship so that you have had to live in a neighborhood where your ethnicity made you a target 24/7?

I did not ask for your sympathy. However I have been living in this race war too long and I am screaming for it to stop. Where I come from reading Eldridge Cleaver's "Soul On Ice" where he explained that raping white woman was a politically correct action was regular college required reading if you wished to receive a diploma. That did not help me accept it so well when the black man put a gun to my head and kidnapped me for that purpose. I thought I was too old to be raped again but the illegal did not think so. I am lucky to be alive.

I am mixed race. My marriage is mixed race. My kids are mixed race. The race problems never seem to stop. I do not believe that what we are gathering together here for on this forum is a race issue but the opposing parties make it into a race issue and I reject it. If we do not reject this as a race issue we will suffer the resultant crimes for decades to come. If we do not reject illegals taking opportunity from citizens there will eventually be no opportunity left to take.

You have a problem with that?

sarum: It appears to me to be our president who is starting a race war. When he appeals to blacks, to latinos and to women, where does that leave white males (which I am not)? When he takes the side of illegal immigrants, where does that leave citizens and legal immigrants?

yes, our President . . . Soviet Mole?

    http://www.salon.com/news/politics/war_ ... orter_fife

Here is part of the article. It could be total fabrication, misinformation but who knows anything anymore? I would not put it to the President, but his handlers, the enemy within, the globalists who wish us all to be slave status so we are powerless against their goals. One would think that the best way to nullify a people's power would be to let them all be middle class and comfortable but not this bunch.

"You Americans always like to think that you have the perfect government and your people are always so perfect. Well then, why haven't you had a woman president by now? You had a chance to vote for a woman vice president and you didn't do it... Well, I think you are going to be surprised when you get a black president very soon... What if I told you that you will have a black president very soon and he will be a Communist? ...

"Yes, it is true. This is not some idle talk. He is already born, and he is educated and being groomed to be president right now. You will be impressed to know that he has gone to the best schools of presidents. He is what you call 'Ivy League.' You don't believe me, but he is real and I even know his name. His name is Barack. His mother is white and American and his father is black from Africa. That's right, a chocolate baby! And he's going to be your president."

I had a relative who qualified to go to college here get told she was an international student while illegals were not. In fact we would hear about people being deported who went to Miami Dade College. The Gomez brothers made news as they were allowed to stay here while the parents were deported to Colombia. Not that long age there were 2 others who were illegals who were also allowed to stay. I was with my relative at they college when they told her she was an international student and there was a Colombian girl and a Jamaican girl waiting who heard the converastion. They were ready to leave as they said they were in the same situation. The Jamaican said something about being in the same situation and she too was told she was an international student and when it came to the Colombian she was told maybe not and the conversation went to Spanish while they were walking in the office. My relative went to the ACLU and approached lawyers to sue and got the same answer from all; we don't want to offend the Hispanic community.
