Rising vigilantism assailed by Fox on eve of trade talks

MEXICO CITY – Trade will top the agenda when the leaders of the United States, Canada and Mexico meet next week in Texas, Mexican President Vicente Fox said yesterday.
To stop the flow of jobs to China and other countries with lower labor costs, the leaders hope to sign an agreement that will "meet the competitive challenge of other economic blocs throughout the world," Fox said.
The agreement, in draft form, would not modify the decade-old North American Free Trade Agreement, Fox said. Instead, it would enhance the free-trade pact by signing an accord on border security, energy and tariffs.
As President Bush and Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin prepare to meet with Fox on Wednesday, the Mexican president told U.S. and Canadian journalists that NAFTA "has worked and worked very well."
Mexico's economy doubled in size between 1995 and 2004 and per capita income rose from $3,100 to $6,505, he said.
He said the country's unemployment rate had dropped, adding that maquiladoras in "practically all the border cities are at full employment."
But Fox insisted a new U.S. immigration policy is necessary to ensure a "legal, orderly, dignified flow" of workers across the border.
He also called on the United States to stem the anti-immigrant sentiment fueled by vigilante groups, particularly in border states like Arizona.
A group of volunteers calling themselves the MinuteMan Project have vowed to stop and search undocumented migrants crossing along a stretch of Arizona border throughout April. Some 950 people from 50 states have signed up for the project.
Fox said his government raised concerns about the group with Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice when she visited Mexico City last week.
"We must react quickly and on time to prevent this kind of action," he said. He said Mexico "will use the law, international law and even U.S. law" in an effort to put the brakes on the group.
He acknowledged that monitoring the people crossing the U.S.-Mexico border is of critical importance to all of the countries in the Americas.
"Security against terrorism is also a high priority for our country," he said. "If that has costs, we will pay those costs, because the goal is clear. It is to eradicate and end terrorism wherever it is found."
But building walls is not the solution, Fox said. "No country that is proud of itself should build walls," he said. "Nobody can isolate themselves today."
Instead, Fox said U.S. states should recognize the contribution Mexican immigrants make to the economy.
"California could not have the competitiveness, the quality, the agricultural production that is has . . . if it were not for the Mexican migrants," he said.

Fox
Just one of those people you dislike as soon as they walk into the room and before they open their mouth.
Put silk on a goat, and it's still a goat.

It amazes me that Vicente doesn't seem to care about the vigilante action of his lawbreaking invading horde, his gangbangers, drug lords and his army invading our borders, trampling on our sovereignty and taking shots at our border patrol agents, law enforcement officials and/or our citizens.
Vicente you should thank you lucky stars that someone like me isn't in charge because if I was, having MM patrolling the borders wouldn't be necessary and the first time your horde tried to cross our borders would be their last and you Vicente would be barred from entering our country and if you did I would label you an enemy combatant and have you thrown in prison in Gitmo Cuba for your efforts because you are without a shadow of a doubt the biggest threat to our sovereignty besides our own sitting president.
BTW it amazes me that our president can stand up to the mighty Saddam Hussein despite major world opposition, but yet he can't muster up the guts to remind Vicente of how things really should be. It amazes me that Bush allows this clown to get away with the crap he says. Vicente must have some nasty pictures of Bush with little boyz or something, because I've never seen a president so obsessed with catering to a parasite like this.
"We must react quickly and on time to prevent this kind of action," he said. He said Mexico "will use the law, international law and even U.S. law" in an effort to put the brakes on the group.
Stop meddling in our affairs you parasite or maybe next time these minutemen might be doing more than just observing the borders and they might be 10X the size they were before. We fought tyranny for over 2 and a half centuries now, we sure as heck can fight off your invasion. Please support our fight against illegal immigration by joining ALIPAC's email alerts here https://eepurl.com/cktGTn

I would be astonished if everyone did not know this, but if you want to know what the people of the United States think, you can go to http://www.google.com and ask for.. illegal aliens polls ... and just like that. You will discover the people who want the Border Patrol doing what the Minute Men are doing is probably 90%. NOT a minority.
And it is critical to look at that statement. It is a bull corn statement and why in the world did he think he could get away with it? Does he do that to the Mexican People a great deal and without problem? Jeffee must do exactly those things!
But this one:
But building walls is not the solution, Fox said. "No country that is proud of itself should build walls," he said. "Nobody can isolate themselves today."
Go to Mexico City and it is a City behind walls...and with a lot of guards with a lot of guns. The theives, robbers, doper, scam artists and criminal elements would steal them blind in a minute if they didn't have those walls. Geeze Mr. Bush.. that sounds like the citizens on the Ranches in Arizona doesn't it.

The arrogance of this barnacle is astounishing. Yeah and California wouldn't be billions of dollars in debt, have major problems with gangs, drugs and crime in various areas,
-----------------------------------------------
I believe I am correct to say there are 175,000 homicide warrents out on illegal aliens in Los Angeles. There are three major gangs in Los Angeles running the incoming dope and out going money. That money has to amount to ten of billions a year and as some have already heard, there is a pretty good dope war going strong along the Texas-Mexico border. BIG money. Get onboard this train before they establish a branch office in your community. And they will... they will.

I agree with you. But have you noticed that a large amount of illegal alien websites have disappeared into space? And you are absolutely right, we are Not a minority as far as wanting illegal aliens outta here. But, we aren't the few rich elites either, (mostly political airheads), who benefit from their cheap labor. These corrupt politicians need to exposed and replaced by real Americans that represent the American people.RIP Butterbean! We miss you and hope you are well in heaven.-- Your ALIPAC friends
