    Los Angeles, California, United States (AHN) - El Salvador’s president, Mauricio Funes, is urging the United States to form a new alliance with Central American countries to reduce illegal immigration through an economic development program.

    Funes is in Los Angeles this week discussing immigration issues with Salvadorans who live in the United States.

    His visit was timed to coincide with the last day of registration Tuesday for the U.S. government’s renewed “temporary protected statusâ€

    This is the problem with these protected status programs , once in place they never end, it is just another back door for more cheap labor....just BS! another 18 months, they never planned toi end it when they started it!
